The Wattamolla Beach waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Royal National Park. It's also a popular cliff jumping spot. While the Wattamolla cliff jump is prohibited, you'll see lots of people jumping, simply stepping over the fence. We haven't done so, and the fence is there for a reason: the depth of the water changes.

The Royal National National Park is open 7am to 8.30pm each day, but will close once capacity is reached, often very early on popular holidays and weekends. The stats. Distance: 8.8km. Elevation: 235m. Difficulty: Easy. Type of trail: Return. The Wattamolla to Eagle Rock walk is one of the easier hikes in Royal National Park. It isn't short, but the majority of the walk is on boardwalk, making it smooth sailing. Whilst there are two uphill sections, they are quite gradual.

They are found in heath and open forests across eastern NSW. The grass tree grows 1-5m in height and produces striking white-flowered spikes which grow up to 1m long. Wattamolla picnic area is in the eastern precinct of Royal National Park. To get there: From Audley: Drive across Audley Weir and continue along Sir Bertram Stevens Drive for approximately 11km. The starting point of this walking track is at one of the most popular weekend destinations in the Royal National Park: Wattamolla Beach. To get there, turn into Wattamolla Road from Sir Bertram Stevens Drive and continue to the end of that road. There are multiple car parking areas at Wattamolla, but on the weekends, it does get busy there.
